Effective Lunchtime Management in the Primary School - Whole
School Approach
Methodology
The workshop provides the opportunity for lunchtime supervisors to
work with teachers, to share difficulties and agree future action
Together they will develop:
-
practical ideas and whole-school strategies
that can be implemented
immediately

medium and longer term ideas and strategies
-
ideas and strategies to complement existing
work, on PSHE, 'Citizenship 2000' and 'Investors
in People'
Aims of workshop:

To make lunchtime a more valuable and fulfilling experience
for children
-
To ensure lunchtime is as much a learning experience
as every other
part of the day
-
To reduce behavioural problems
-
To enable lunchtime staff to resolve situations
more effectively themselves.

To reduce the incidence of late-starting afternoon
sessions and queues outside the headteacher's
office
-
To raise the self-esteem, productivity and
job fulfillment of lunchtime staff.

To make lunchtime a happier time for all
